Title: Production Planner Specialist (Regulated Industry)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote – Administrative Shift

Location: Open to Puerto Rico Residents

Positions Available: 1

Duration: Approximately 1 year


Summary

Under minimal supervision, the Production Planner Specialist will perform work planning for demand and supply requirements to ensure efficient production and inventory management in a regulated industry environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Material Management, or Business Administration.

  • Manufacturing Industry
  • Project Management
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively present information.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships across multiple functional areas.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, active listening, and relationship management skills.
  • Quick learner, proactive, and takes initiative.
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, consolidate, and report demand to management, colleagues, and customers.
  • Develop multiple scenarios to support long-range plans and capacity analysis.
  • Maintain excellent communication with all demand sources.
  • Use planning expertise to influence demand processes when appropriate.
  • Track and analyze monthly performance metrics and reports to improve output quality.
  • Develop and provide monthly planning models for all products, implementing inventory control and process improvement techniques to minimize variability and maximize production utilization.
  • Manage product release expedition to alleviate inventory shortages through effective coordination across departments.
  • Represent PPIC on Product/Operations Development Teams to ensure manufacturability, efficient production methods, and plant effectiveness.
  • Provide training on planning processes, functions, and procedures to intra- and inter-departmental staff.
  • Share knowledge and information on planning and product decision-making to improve PPIC’s communication with other departments.
  • Understand PPIC’s role within our client’s logistics and business processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other planners to enhance department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Represent PPIC in cross-functional teams and projects as directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education Requirements

  • Doctorate; OR
  • Master’s degree + 2 years of directly related experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of directly related experience; OR
  • Associate degree + 8 years of directly related experience; OR
  • High school diploma/GED + 10 years of directly related experience.


Competencies / Skills

  • Excellent mathematics skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with spreadsheets and scheduling tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
