Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Planner to support production scheduling, material planning, purchasing, and inventory coordination. This is a 100% onsite contract role requiring strong collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production and material availability in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning Responsibilities
- Maintained and updated the master production schedule to support manufacturing requirements.
- Performed what-if analyses in response to changes in demand, supply constraints, or regulatory requirements.
- Prepared planning reports, summaries, and presentations for internal cross-functional meetings.
- Monitored inventory levels and ensured timely material availability to support production schedules.
- Participated in forecast, allocation, inventory, supplier, and delivery review meetings to align planning activities.
Buyer Responsibilities
- Created purchase orders (POs) and maintained purchasing documentation in alignment with client requirements.
- Coordinated with suppliers regarding order acknowledgments, delivery commitments, and pricing updates.
- Expedited materials to prevent shortages, delays, or production disruptions.
- Resolved supplier-related issues, including delays, constraints, and supply risks.
- Collaborated with internal teams to align material requirements and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Tracked open orders, maintained accurate lead times, and updated ERP/MRP planning parameters.
Qualifications
- Approximately 6 years of experience in planning, buying, or supply chain roles (flexible based on qualifications).
- Strong understanding of production planning, purchasing, and inventory management processes.
- Proven experience coordinating with suppliers and managing material flow.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Additional Information
- This position is 100% onsite; remote or hybrid work is not available.
- Candidates with combined planning and purchasing experience are strongly preferred.
