Position Summary:
The Business Performance Senior Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing and facilitating business performance processes aligned with the QOS&S strategic vision. This individual will lead the development of productivity programs, performance metrics, portfolio governance, and automated reporting solutions to drive continuous improvement across the organization. The role requires strong project management, analytical, and communication skills, and involves high engagement across cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement business performance frameworks aligned with QOS&S strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards using platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and Smartsheet.
- Lead periodic project portfolio and financial reviews to ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Support Business Performance Office functions by managing and coordinating global and departmental budgeting activities.
- Lead the quarterly budget review process and assist in the restructuring of the annual productivity goal framework, including the digitalization of reporting processes.
- Define and execute a comprehensive productivity program, including governance structures, standardized tools, and stakeholder engagement, to achieve our client’s Year-over-Year (YoY) productivity goals.
- Manage project management responsibilities, including data gathering, report creation, portfolio updates, and the development and maintenance of monthly productivity reports.
- Facilitate business performance reviews, strategic planning workshops, and recurring operational meetings.
- Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to address schedule delays, resource gaps, or dependency issues.
- Manage meeting logistics, including the creation of agendas, documentation of decisions, and timely tracking and closure of action items.
- Standardize business performance processes through the development of templates, toolkits, and internal training programs.
- Support integrated planning, prioritization, and scheduling of transformation projects across QOS&S.
- May contribute to the preparation and coordination of GxP Level 0 Quality Management Reviews.
- Analyze key metrics to identify improvement opportunities, enhance visibility to business leaders, and drive performance accountability.
- Promote continuous improvement practices by leveraging Lean methodologies and process optimization tools.
- Establish effective communication plans to align stakeholders and facilitate change management throughout the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following educational and professional experience combinations:
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of Quality experience
- Master’s degree and 4 years of Quality experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Quality experience
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of Quality experience
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Quality experience
Required Competencies and Skills:
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to manage deviations, CAPAs, and Change Control records
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional or multi-site teams
- Background in budget planning, forecasting, and long-range scenario planning
- Strong skills in Organizational Change Management (OCM) and internal communications
- Innovative mindset with the ability to translate ideas into actionable solutions
- Advanced project management skills including timeline tracking and stakeholder engagement
- Proficient in business intelligence and project tools, such as:
- Power BI
- Smartsheet
- Tableau
- Sensing Tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of our client’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- High cultural awareness and ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments
- Autonomous decision-making ability and willingness to take calculated, informed risks
- Background in Operational Excellence (OpEx), Continuous Improvement, and Project Management
- Industrial Engineering or Business Administration degree preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification or relevant training strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of financial and budget management principles
